The Galveston Bay Information Center
A great source of information on the estuary is the Galveston Bay Information Center (GBIC). GBIC's mission is to serve as a repository for information and as a resource for Galveston Bay research.

Galveston Bay Estuary Program publications
GBIC has many of the Galveston Bay Estuary Program publications available online, including The State of the Bay: A Characterization of the Galveston Bay Ecosystem, 2nd Edition. Hard copies are also available free of charge from the GBIC office or the Galveston Bay Estuary Program office, as supplies allow.

Galveston Bay Plan Implementation Projects Database
You can find information on projects that implement The Galveston Bay Plan, from schoolyard habitats to large restoration projects, in the Implementation Projects Database.

Galveston Bay Estuary Program State of the Bay Symposia proceedings
State of the Bay Symposia proceedings provide a wealth of information about the estuary for the public and researchers alike. GBEP hosts the biennial event to provide an opportunity for our stakeholders to interact and share successes, new findings, and challenges for the future.

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
GBEP's parent agency, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, has many programs that implement The Plan, including the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Program.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Estuary Program
GBEP is one of 28 National Estuary Programs (NEP) in the United States. You can find more information about the estuaries, the national program and GBEP's sister programs at the EPA NEP site.
