Galveston Bay Council Subcommitees

Subcommittees of the Galveston Bay Council meet quarterly or as needed to facilitate The Plan's day-to-day implementation activities. This includes developing projects and programs for each of the specific actions contained within The Plan. Through the work of the subcommittees:

• partnerships are developed
• tax dollars are saved
• federal, state, and local resources and expertise are leveraged
• duplication is minimized
• product results are enhanced
• costs to individual organizations are lowered

The six subcommittees are:

• Natural Resource Uses Subcommittee (NRU)
• Water and Sediment Quality Subcommittee (WSQ)
• Public Participation and Education Subcommittee (PPE)
• Monitoring and Research Subcommittee (M&R)
• Budget and Priorities Subcommittee (B&P)
• Consistency Review Subcommittee
